Note: Love + Charcoal contains lactic acid, which may cause redness to the skin after the first few uses or after a prolonged period of non-use. This should resolve once the skin gets accustomed to lactic acid. We always recommend doing a patch test prior to using any new product. Here’s how: place a small amount on the inside of the wrist or inner thigh and look for a reaction. If any redness or irritation occurs, stop using the product immediately.

How To Use
Apply an even layer to clean, dry skin. Leave on for 5–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with your favorite moisturizer while your skin is still damp.

I am experiencing redness after using Love + Charcoal. What does this mean?
Our Love + Charcoal Masque has been dermatologist tested and is found to have an irritancy score of zero. But this doesn’t mean that you might not have a personal sensitivity to it! This is a really active, results-driven masque treatment, featuring charcoal, rose clay and lactic acid to help detoxify and exfoliate the skin. Any redness typically goes away after 2-3 uses, as your skin gets accustomed to the lactic acid. If not, you may have an individual sensitivity to one of the ingredients in the masque, in which case we would recommend discontinuing use. (Contact us if this happens!)
