Built Different: 15 Years of One Love Organics
This September, we proudly celebrate 15 years of One Love Organics—a journey that began with a simple idea and grew into something deeply personal and enduring.
Fifteen Years Ago,I launched One Love Organics after two years of hand‑formulating skincare products that finally helped my sensitive, breakout-prone skin. Before that, I was a practicing attorney, frustrated by the fact that nothing—pharmaceuticals or department-store solutions—seemed to work. |

I grew up on a farm with my dad, who was both a pharmacist and a farmer. We shared a love of science and nature, but we still couldn’t clear my skin. Then, during law school, an aromatherapy class changed everything. I discovered how plant oils and a pared-down routine could support real, lasting skin health. For the first time, my skin looked and felt truly healthy. That revelation gave me purpose.
I began experimenting with my own formulas—blending plant oils and creating small batches at home. Friends and family noticed the change in my skin, tried the products themselves, and kept asking for more. Skin Savior Balm was the very first formula I created—and it’s still one of our most loved.

My little boys even helped me choose its scent: the bright, fresh note of peeled orange from our Orange Peel Wax. Today, those same boys—now grown—help us manufacture that balm. So when we say “made with love,” we really mean it. |
That’s when I explored scaled production, only to hear contract manufacturers pushing me to make changes—removing the very ingredients that made the formulas work. I couldn’t compromise. And I still won’t.
So we made a defining choice: we built our own ECOCERT/COSMOS® licensed facility in Georgia. That decision gave us full control over formulation, manufacturing, and production—ensuring outstanding quality in every batch.
Why We've Stayed Independent
We’ve had offers—tempting ones. But we’ve turned them down to protect the way we do things. And for us, that’s integrity, transparency, and real control. Staying independent hasn’t always been the easiest path, but it’s the one that lets us make uncompromising products—and have real relationships with the people who use them.
And the truth is,the way we do things is rare. According to Beauty Independent, only about 7% of skincare products sold in the U.S. are actually made here. The rest are outsourced—often overseas. This isn’t necessarily bad—just worth considering when choosing what goes on your face.

How we operate is something we’re deeply proud of—and even after 15 years in the industry, I was shocked to realize just how unique our company truly is.
We’ve got exciting things planned for our next chapter—new formulas, updated packaging, more educational content —including videos—and the same unwavering commitment.
