Love + Rose Hydrating Serum

Love this serum. Another beautiful product from OLO. I have sensitive skin & have rosacea & no issues with any of the OLO products. The scent is divine. I’ve been using OLO products for many years & have lost track. The key is to use faithfully. In other words be consistent. That’s when u see results as they are accumulative. One needs to be diligent with their routine AM & PM.

After using this serum for a few weeks, I am disappointed. I really wanted to love it and thought it was going to be great. The rose smell is great at first but is dissipates very quickly and leaves a terrible stale smell that lingers ALL DAY LONG to the point that I can't stand it anymore. I don't think its very moisturizing compared to other serums I've used. I think there may be some poor clogging ingredients as well, as I've noticed a small breakout. Sadly, I ordered two bottles and am past the return policy. So bummed.

I recently finished a bottle of this and would generally recommend it to folks. I personally really like lightweight hydrators that sink into the skin quickly and this fits the bill on that end... with that said if you have dry skin, I would not recommend using this as a standalone, as it won't be enough. It plays well with other skincare products and I enjoy using it with other products to increase skin hydration. It has a light rosy scent, which isn't my personal favorite but if you are a fan of rose then you'll probably appreciate the aromatic experience; however, if you aren't a rose fan rest assured that the scent does dissipate quickly. I did find that my pump dispenser could be a bit finicky at times, but it may have just been a one off.

I have dry, very sensitive, middle age skin and this serum is PERFECT. It's enough moisture for my dry skin. Sensitive enough that I do not react - most other products cause redness for me. My skin feels and looks the best it ever has. Well, at least since my teen years.

Don’t let the price tag scare you off, this product has changed the game for me and is worth its weight in gold! I have combination skin that leans dry and I use this in place of hyaluronic acid serums. I’ve tried HA serums of all price points and types (Josh Rosebrook, Image, Herbivore, Osea, The Ordinary) and this one is far and away my favorite. I use two pumps in the morning after toner but before moisturizer/sunscreen and noticed my t zone doesn’t get nearly as oily because my skin is properly hydrated. For some people with more oily skin I feel this could be a great lightweight moisturizer under sunscreen. One of my favorite things is that it has never left me feeling sticky like every other HA serum I tried. It layers beautifully and I’ve haven’t had any issues with it piling after over a month of AM/PM use. I’m obsessed and could sing this product’s praises for days but I’ll close with do yourself and your skin a favor and buy this product!!
